The Playhouse

Like the old woman who swallowed a fly, the past wriggled and wiggled and jiggled inside her, perhaps she'll die. It would be a relief. But, first, she needs to find the frog prince. She imagines that while he was once a common or garden frog, he is probably a sharper, sleeker, genetically modified super frog who is smarter and dangerous and no amount of kissing will turn him in to the prince in her stories.

The book is in the post

After some issues with the printers, the ‘fragments’ book is finally being posted out to the mailing list.

Readings of selected excerpts are being planned and some dates and locations have been agreed.

‘Fragments’ is not the finished book just a taster of what it will be when it is published. Getting to this point has been challenging. The original version of the book written in 2017, was, basically, binned owing to a perfect storm of circumstances which rendered publishing it impossible. The earlier version was more honest, more raw, more authentic. This revised version has lost a good deal of that original draft, but gained in better writing and a stronger narrative. The blank pages are there for the reader to fill in the gaps and see if their version in any way matches the published one, or for writing shopping lists!
